The request was to redesign the existing website, making the look more modern (while keeping it's edginess), and make it easier for the client to make minor updates thenselves. To start with
My first logo for Hole In My Sock was a quick-draw. I needed something soon to get things running, and so made a quick logo. It was a decent logo, and graphically reflected "Hole In My Sock" very well. But it was more difficult in real life usage of a logo, and wasn't the most practical. So as of almost a year ago, I decided I need to design a proper logo for Hole In My Sock. Sothing cool, striking, simple, and practical. Over 6 months ago I started sketching ideas. Came up with many many logos, but none that really grasped all that they needed to.
A year ago, my wife and I had the privilege of being given a free trip to Siem Reap, Cambodia. It was fascinating to wander amongst the ruins of Angkor Wat, and capture snippets of their beauty in photographs. It was a lot of fun to experiment with the natural light shining in various ways. I could have spent many more days there, photographing to my hearts desire. It is a beautiful place, and I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to go.
I recently completed a logo design/re-branding and website redesign for God Farm. God Farm is "a business incubator that helps the world's poor become micro-entrepreneurs."
Firstly, the logo design and re-branding. The logo comprises two parts. In black, it features a silhouette of a young boy being cradled in an arm. This represents the desire of God Farm to help and nuture people and families. The second part is a drop of water, which represents the substance that God Farm provides to help people grow their businesses and improve their lives.
